Virginia Dare Walker Taylor

Virginia Dare Walker Taylor, 87, of Staley, NC, went to her Heavenly home on Sunday, August 24th, 2025, at the home of her daughter, Pam, surrounded by family.

Viriginia was born November 23rd, 1937, in Lillington, NC, to the late David Walker and Gladys McGhee Oakley Walker. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harry D. Taylor; her brother, Melvin Walker; and her sister, Mamie Lee McGhee.

Virginia loved reading, feeding her birds and deer, and gardening. She was an amazing cook and loved feeding people. Virginia’s real love was her family, and she loved all the family gatherings and being with them. She loved flowers of all kinds. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Pamela T. Seekins and her husband, Michael of Ramseur, and Sherra T. Chedaille and her husband, Phillippe of Chapel Hill; her grandchildren, James Taylor Kelly, Michael Dylan Seekins, Laura Angela Seekins, and Liam Henri Chedaille; her step great grandchildren, Robert and Sara Seekins, Valentina Chedaille, Edward Chedaille, and Katie Lynn Miller; her great granddaughter, Lena Rose Seekins; and her sister, Deborah Williams of Raleigh.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, August 28th, 2025, at 2 pm, at Chatham Memorial Park. Services will be officiated by hospice chaplain, Sam Garris.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Liberty HomeCare & Hospice, 1005 Carthage St. Sanford, NC 27330.
