Vickie Candace Farrar Brooks

Vickie Candace Farrar Brooks, 75, of Siler City, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, April 18th, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Vickie was born on July 24th, 1949, in Randolph County, to the late Jesse Julian and Marie Miller Farrar. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, Morris Farrar.

Vickie loved traveling and going shopping. She loved people and her community. She worked as a manager of Chatham County Group Home. She was a member of Corinth Methodist AME Zion Church where she was on the usher board. More than anything, Vickie loved her family and friends and making memories with them all. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 50 years, Harvey Brooks; her daughter, Camiller Brooks; her son, Marcus Brooks and his wife, Karla; her grandchildren, Kingston, Julian, J’Aaron, Laisha, Willy, Ari, and Aleah.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 24th, 2025, at 2 pm, at Corinth AME Zion Church. Visitation will be at the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Park. Services will be officiated by Reverend Barry Gray and Reverend Rosa Williams.

Smith & Buckner Funeral Home will be assisting the Brooks family.
