Thomas Allen "Tadpole" Price

Thomas Allen "Tadpole" Price, 61, of Alston Bridge Road, Siler City died Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro.

Mr. Price was born in Chatham County on April 18, 1956 the son of Thomas King and Edna (Johnson) Price. Tommy was co- owner/ operator with his father of Siler City Ice and Coal and employed in construction as a heavy equipment operator. He was a volunteer fire fighter for several years. Tommy was a loving husband, father and brother, enjoyed time spent with his grandchildren and his canine companion, Molly. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Barbara Price Hart and a brother, Thomas King Price, Jr.

Tommy is survived by his wife of 15 years: Marilyn (Morris) Price, two daughters: Nichol Price of Wilmington and Gretel Poe and husband, Joshua of Staley; two sons: T. J. Price and wife, Cassie of Siler City and Josh Price and fiancé Kristie Evans of Siler City; step-daughter, Dana Bowman and husband, Allen of Siler City; sisters: Nancy Dunn of Siler City, Jacqueline Pickard and husband, Ronnie of Bear Creek, Suzanne Hicks and husband, Mike of Bear Creek, Lucinda Pinnock of Siler City; brother, Bobby Price and sixteen grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 2, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City. The funeral will be Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Hickory Grove United Methodist Church, 10068 Silk Hope-Liberty Road, Siler City with Rev. Greg Burriss officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
