Shirley Teague Gabard

Shirley Teague Gabard, 68, of Creekway Ridge, Asheboro died Thursday, February 11, 2016 at Randolph Hospice House. Mrs. Gabard was born in Chatham County on May 1, 1947 the daughter of James "Smokey" and Ruby O'Neal Teague. She had been employed as a weaver with Asheboro Elastics. She is survived by two daughters: Sandra Stanley and husband, Stephen of Asheboro, Sherry Welch of Bennett, NC; granddaughters, Meagan Stanley, Tonya, Ashley and Brittany York; grandsons, Joshua Stanley and Stephen Welch; great-grandchildren, Riley Willard, Noah and Summer Welch; step- brother, Tommy Teague of Carthage, NC. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 14, 2016 from 2:00-3:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Sunday, February 14, 2016 at 3:00 PM in the Smith & Buckner Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Strider officiating. Burial will follow in Loves Creek Baptist Cemetery, Siler City.
