Robert Eugene Fox

Robert Eugene Fox, 75, of Liberty, went to his Heavenly home on Thursday, June 19th, 2025, at his home surrounded by family.

Robert was born on November 26th, 1949, in Chatham County, to the late Talmadge Eugene Fox and Betty Heritage Fox. He is preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Edwin Heritage Fox.

Robert worked for many years in furniture manufacturing before he retired. Once retired, he enjoyed golfing, watching his grandchildren play sports, flowers, gardening, and going to the beach. Robert loved being outdoors.

Left to cherish Robert’s memory is his wife of 55 years, Jean Bailey Fox, of the home; his daughter, Leslie Fox Herring and her husband, Michael, of Liberty; his son’s, Peter Fox and his wife, Sheila, of San Diego, CA, and Jason Fox of Leland; his grandchildren, Jovie Herring, Elliott Herring, and Keen Fox; his two step grandchildren, Steven Trinidad and Yumi Nakahara.

A visitation will be held June 25th, 2025, from 6-8 pm, at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home.

Memorials can be made to River Mill Academy Athletics, 235 Cheeks Ln., Graham, NC 27253, in Robert’s name.

Smith & Buckner Funeral Home will be assisting the Fox family.
