Richard A. Lineberry, Jr., 92, passed away unexpectedly, at his home in Siler City, January 1, 2026.
He was born in Columbus County, NC, February 1, 1933, a son to the late Mabel Crumpler and Richard A. Lineberry, Sr.
Mr. Lineberry had a long and fulfilling life. He honorably served in the U.S. Army and retired from the U.S. Post Office after 32 years of faithful service.
He loved playing golf and raised sheep and cattle. He was a long time member of Loves Creek Baptist Church and served in many positions over the years.
In addition to his parents, Richard was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Ollie Mae Brewer Lineberry; his sister, Ruth Brooks; and daughter-in-law, Jennifer M. Lineberry.
Survivors of Mr. Lineberry, are his sons, Richie C. Lineberry of Siler City, and his wife, Jenny, and Ronald "Ronnie" K. Lineberry of Greensboro, NC and his fiancée , Lori; his daughter, Robin L. Askins of Bear Creak and her husband, Tally; his sister, Dorothy L. Daley, of PA; and his six grandchildren, Lauren Underwood, Trey Lineberry and fiancée, Elizabeth, Morgan Lineberry and fiancé, Trint, Holly Askins, Caleb Lineberry and Nathanael Lineberry.
A visitation will be held from 2-3:00pm, Monday, January 5th, 2026 at Loves Creek Baptist Church, Siler City, NC.
The funeral service will start at 3:00pm, with the Rev. Kenny Black officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive family and friends at the home of Richie and Jenny Lineberry at 75 Grady Siler Rd., Siler City, NC.
