Mrs. Peggy Joyce Cobb Scott, 92, of Siler City, North Carolina, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2026.

Peggy was born on June 8, 1934, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late James Tillman Cobb and Ruby Louise McEntyre Cobb. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, William Isaiah Cobb.

A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and friend to all who knew her, Peggy lived a life defined by faith, humility, and selfless devotion to others. Throughout her life, she held numerous secretarial positions, serving diligently and faithfully wherever she worked. More importantly, she devoted herself wholeheartedly to her family and her Lord.

Peggy was a faithful member of Loves Creek Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir, taught Sunday School, and actively participated in the many ministries and activities of the church. She was also a former member of Pleasant Garden Baptist Church. Her love for Jesus was evident in the way she lived each day, putting the needs of others before her own and sharing God's love through her words and actions.

A devoted homemaker, Peggy, found great joy in cooking for family and friends. Her home was always a place of warmth, comfort, and welcome. Family was the center of her life, and the moments she shared with her grandchildren were among her most treasured blessings. She was a simple and humble lady with a heart of gold whose kindness and generosity touched countless lives.

She is survived by her two sons, Billy Scott and wife, Kaye, of Siler City, North Carolina, and David Scott and wife, Martha, of Marion, Virginia; five grandchildren, Toni Kirchner, Travis Scott and wife, Morgan, Tracy Scott, Jonathan Scott and wife, Brittany, and Tanner Scott; and twelve great-grandchildren, all of whom will cherish her memory and the love she shared so freely.

Though her family grieves in her passing, they rejoice in the assurance that Peggy's faith has become sight and that she is now in the presence of the Savior she loved and served throughout her life.

The family will have a graveside service on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at 3:00 p.m., at Loves Creek Baptist Church Cemetery, with Pastor Ronnie McNeill officiating.

Peggy's legacy of faith, love, service, and family devotion will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
