Patrick "Pat" Garner, 80, passed away Monday night, June 8th, 2026 at Moore Regional Hospital. 

Pat was born May 10, 1946, in Lee County, NC and was a son to the late Ollie Dixon and Milton Garner. 

He was a 1964 graduate of Chatham Central High School. He attended UNC-Chapel Hill. In his senior year, he left UNC to join the U.S. Navy, where he served during the Vietnam War. 

Left to cherish his memory are his sister and brother-in-law, Lois and Larry Miller of Goldston, NC; his niece, Tricia Hathcock (Jeremy) of Sanford, NC; nephew, Todd Miller of Bennett, NC; and several great nieces and nephews.

Pat spent most of his working years with Cassedy & Fahrbach Cabinetry, in Pittsboro, NC and Cheek Electric Company in Goldston.

He was a talented woodcraftsman, enjoyed Bluegrass music and played both banjo and guitar.

A visitation will be held, from 10-11:00AM, Friday, June 12, 2026, at Goldston Methodist Church.

The funeral will start at 11:00AM.

Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
