Patricia Rice Smith, 83, of Siler City, died Saturday, July 25, 2026.

Patricia was born in Chicago Illinois on May 11, 1943, to Richard Rice and Josephine Sanders Rice. She was teacher for many years. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family.

She is survived by her son, Lewis Fadely; granddaughters, Morgan Keefer and husband, Austin, Jennah Fadely and Shirley Villatoro; stepson, Greg Smith and wife, Susan; and sister-in-law, Naomi Rice. Patricia was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, John Rice; and husband, Ray Smith.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at Oakwood Cemetery at 10:00 am, with Rev. Bob Wachs officiating.
