Nancy Beane Burke, 79, of Siler City, passed away on December 19, 2021.

Nancy was born in Chatham County on November 18, 1942, the daughter of Elijah and Eula Pike Beane.

In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her husband Lonnie Carroll Burke; and siblings, Rev. Kenneth E. Beane, Myrtle B. Stephens, Dwight W. Beane, Evelyn B. Thompson, James F. Beane, Paul T. Beane and Donald L. Beane, Sr.

She is survived by her son, Jonathan Burke and partner David Kearney of Raleigh, NC; sisters in law, Loretta Beane-Wachs and husband Rev. Ron Wachs, Camela Crutchfield and husband Alfred; brother in law, J. Michael Burke; nieces, Brenda Stephens, Shirley Mendenhall, Cynthia Beane and partner Mark Fowlkes, Melanie Northcote and husband John, Deborah Beane, LaRue Wilson and husband Jesse; nephews Barry Stephens, Rev. Eric Thompson, Michael Beane and wife Julie, Tommy Beane, Don Beane, Jr. , Perry Beane and wife Lindsay; and many great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at Hickory Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery, 1094 Mt. Vernon Hickory Mountain Rd., Siler City, with Rev. Eric Thompson and Rev. Ron Wachs officiating. 

Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the Burke family.
