Melvin "Buddy" Moore Oldham, 85, of Siler City, went to his Heavenly home on Sunday, June 8th, 2025, at Siler City Center.
Melvin was born July 7th, 1939, in Caswell County to the late Melvin Brooks and Evelena Blalock Oldham. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Rosetta Oldham; his daughter, Linda Comer; his sisters, Minnie Belle Howerton, Doris O. Stacy, and Patsy O. Henderson; and his brother, Ralph M. Oldham.
Melvin was a certified welder, mechanic, and lumber man and worked for Oren Gaines Sawmill. He is survived by his sisters, Ila East and her husband, Dennis of Danville, VA, and Ava Rives and her husband, Wayne of Siler City; his brother, Charlie Oldham and his wife Mary Lois of Goldston; his special nephew, Alan Rives who cared for him; and many nieces and nephews.
A Graveside service will be held Thursday, June 12th, 2025, at 11 am, at Cornerstone Baptist Church cemetery Goldston, NC. Visitation will be at the gravesite one hour prior to the service. Service will be officiated by Reverend Arlen Johnson.
