Mary Louise Inman Shields

Mary Louise Inman Shields, 92, of Siler City died Thursday, April 20, 2017 at Siler City Center. Mrs. Shields was born in Moore County on July 15, 1924 the daughter of William and Alice (Tillman) Inman. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Norris Shields and her parents. She is survived by two daughters: Betsy Brewer of Greensboro and Jo Deaton Duckworth and husband, Tom of Siler City; one brother, Don Inman of Carthage; grandchildren, Shields Blackwell and husband, Grey of Oxford, Alicia Norton and husband, Frank of Greensboro, Mary- Douglas Andrews and husband, Michael of Siler City, Brittany McKeown and husband, Andy of Asheboro, Zach Deaton and wife, Laurin of Siler City; great-grandchildren, Shields and Annabelle McKeown, Kennedy Andrews, Michael Andrews, III and Mary-Maxton Andrews, Luke Deaton, Will and George Norton, Nelson Blackwell, III and Daniel Blackwell, and Jacob Deaton. A graveside service will be held Sunday, April 23, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Fair Promise United Methodist Church Cemetery, 192 Glendon-Carthage Road, Goldston with Rev. Tony Capehart officiating. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Fair Promise UMC, 567 River Road, Robbins, NC 27325. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
