Mary Florence Seawell Gamble

Mary Florence Seawell Gamble, 90, passed away peacefully at Westchester Manor in High Point on Wednesday, February 21, 2018.

Mary was born to Efland and Willie Seawell on June 24, 1927. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband Russell Gamble. Mary was a member of the Siler City Wesleyan Church. She graduated from Siler City High School and was employed by Statesville Library and later High Point Library. If Mary had a hobby it was certainly reading and going out with friends.

Mary is survived by her son Eddie (Elaine) of High Point; two sisters, Lois Vernon (Leroy) of High Point, Dottie Gaines Henson (Jack) of Siler City; grandchildren, Michelle Hamby (Bill), Natalie Gamble; great-grandson, Steve Hamby; a very special niece Susie Bennett who has lovingly cared for Mary the last four years.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, February 23, 2018 at Oakwood Cemetery in Siler City. The family will greet friends after the service and at other times at the home of Jack and Dottie Henson, 114 Central Avenue, Siler City.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First Wesleyan Church, 610 North Third Avenue, Siler City, NC or to Hospice, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, NC 27262.
