Siler City

Mary Frances Davis, 95, of Siler City died peacefully on September 27, 2022.

Mrs. Davis was the beloved wife of Calvin Davis, who preceded her in death.  She loved watching birds, tending to her flowers, and, above all, caring for others.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysses and Annie Bray Johnson, and brother John M. Johnson.  Surviving are her brother, Clyde Johnson of Dobson NC; daughter, Marsha Davis (James Hearn) of Athens GA; son Gary Davis (Paula Davis) of Salisbury NC, four grandsons; Drew Davis (Taren Davis) of Salisbury NC, Spenser Davis (Rachel Davis) of Mt. Holly NC, Bryan Hearn (Kelsey Hendricks) of Nashville TN, Adam Hearn of Indianapolis IN; and eight great grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the caregivers of Brookdale and Hospice of Randolph County.

The family will receive friends from 10:00-10:45 AM prior to the funeral service at 11:00 AM, on Thursday, September 29, 2022 at Rocky River Baptist Church, 4436 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, Siler City with Rev. Jim Wall officiating. A private burial will be held at Brush Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.
