Margie Martin Kivett, age 84, of Siler City died Thursday, September 3, 2020 at her home. Mrs. Kivett was born April 20, 1936 the daughter of Drewey and Molly Watkins Martin. Margie was preceded in death by her parents, brother Howard Martin of Goldston, sisters Betty Thomas and Louise Andrews of Siler City, and husband Thomas Harold Kivett. She was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church, loved watching Rev. Charles Stanley and Wheel of Fortune, and taking walks outside. She is survived by a daughter; Diane K. Saylor and husband, Conrad of Siler City, sisters; Margaret Brown of Siler City, and Peggy Pickett of Kemah, TX, and a granddaughter; Sarah Morgan Saylor of Siler City. Mrs. Kivett will lie in state Saturday, September 5, 2020 from 12:00-5:00pm. The funeral service will be at Smith and Buckner Chapel on Sunday, September 6, 2020 at 2:00pm with Rev. Mark Richardson and Pastor Derrick Smith officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Siler City. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a Hospice care of your choice.
