Margaret Canada Owen

Margaret Canada Owen, 86, of Eden Hills Road, Siler City died Friday, October 28, 2016 at Chatham Hospital, Inc., Siler City. Mrs. Owen was born in Person County on September 9, 1930, the daughter of Bruce and Ruth Saunders Canada. She was a homemaker, who loved cooking and cleaning, a devoted wife and Mother. Margaret was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 66 years: Rev. Travis W. Owen, one daughter: LaJeanne O. Pierce and husband, Sandy of Siler City, NC; one son: T. Carl Owen and wife, June of Maple Hill, NC; grandson, Travis C. Owen, Jr. of Maple Hill, NC. A memorial service will be Sunday, October 30, 2016 at 3:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 1101 West Raleigh Street, Siler City with Rev. Carl Belcher officiating. The family will receive friends afterward in the fellowship hall. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, P O Box 212, Siler City, NC 27344.
