Mannie Lee Dunn Emerson

Mannie Lee Dunn Emerson, 90, of Lee Emerson Road, Bear Creek died Friday, July 3, 2015 at Care View Rest Home, Snow Camp. Mrs. Emerson was born in Chatham County on May 27, 1925 the daughter of George Thomas and Beulah (Lloyd) Dunn. Mannie was a member of Sandy Branch Baptist Church. She had worked in banking and was a homemaker. She especially, enjoyed working in her flowers. Mannie was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Emerson; sister, Mae Laughon; brothers, Shelton and Ray Dunn. She is survived by one son: Garry Emerson and wife, Legina of Bear Creek, NC; one sister: Georgia D. Moore and husband, Curtis of Bonlee, NC; one brother: Joe Dunn of Bonlee, NC; grandsons, John Emerson and James Emerson both of Bear Creek, NC The family will receive friends Tuesday, July 7, 2015 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Wednesday, July 8, 2015 at 2:00 PM at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, 715 Sandy Branch Church Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Marc Sanders officiating.
