Duncan Lynn Murchison, age 62 of Goldston, NC died Friday, May 15, 2026, at Chatman Hospital.

Lynn was a native of Chatham County and enjoyed trips to the NC Outer Banks to fish and collect seashells. He was always willing to help others was a UNC Tarheel fan and loved his K-9 companion “The Big Dog, George.”

Lynn is survived by his mother: Sadie H. Murchison of Bear Creek, NC; Brother: Donnie Murchison of Goldston, NC; sister: Susan Douglas (Mike) of Bera Creek, NC; nephew: Daniel Douglas (Brooke); niece: Candie Carlyle (Zac); great nieces and nephews: Paisley and Harper Carlyle, River and Miles Douglas.

The Graveside Service will be Monday, May 18, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery 503 Alton King Road, Goldston, NC with Rev. Partick Daniel officiating. Attendees are encouraged to wear Carolina Blue.

The family will receive friends following the service in the church fellowship hall.
