Lyman Darden Jarman, 78, of Siler City passed away surrounded by his loving family at his home on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

Darden was born in Lenoir County on August 16, 1943, the son of Tom and Frances Sutton Jarman.

Mr. Jarman was a proud Veteran of the US Army, serving in Vietnam. He spent many years serving his community, holding titles in the Fire Department, Sheriff's Department, Siler City and Liberty Police Department, as well as the Georgia Highway Patrol. He was a well respected Owner of American Service Center in Siler City. Darden was an avid classic car collector, and loved to restore John Deere tractors. Darden was a member of Rehobeth United Methodist Church. He is preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Pam Joyce Jarman; children, Barrett Jarman and wife Elizabeth of Siler City, and their children, Baiden, Pearl and Ava; English J. McNeese and husband Michael of Siler City, and their children, Logan, Noah and Sarah; Robbie Jarman and wife Tammy of Goldsboro, and their children, Alexis and Blake; and Sharon Cutler and husband Billy of Columbus, GA and their daughter Hayley; brothers, Roger, Wayne, Stewart and Jackie; sisters, Raye Powell, and Carol Jarman; and beloved dog, Max Jarman.

The family requests no flowers be sent, instead please send memorials to the Rehobeth UMC Cemetery Fund, 850 Kildee Church Rd., Ramseur, NC 27316.

Friends are welcome to come by Smith & Buckner Funeral Home on Wednesday and Thursday to sign the register book and view pictures of Mr. Jarman.
