Lois Mashburn Jourdan

Lois Mashburn Jourdan, 90, of Gulf, passed away Thursday, February 29, 2024.

Lois was born in Lee County on July 17, 1933, to the late Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Elwood and Sadie Martindale Mashburn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Robert G. “Corky” Jourdan and brother, Tracy Mashburn.

Mrs. Jourdan was a lifelong member of Bethany Baptist Church. She worked for many years as an executive secretary for a telephone company. Lois enjoyed watching sports such as basketball and baseball and going to the beach. She also enjoyed sitting and reading a good book. She enjoyed spending as much time as possible with her family. 

Lois is survived by her daughters, Marsha J. Brown and husband, Dennis, of Gulf, and Brenda Jourdan and husband, Stephen Keilholz, of Supply; grandchildren, Amy B. Pilkington, and husband Garrett, and Matthew Brown; great-granddaughter, Anna Grace Pilkington.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 4, 2024 at Bethany Baptist Church, at 2:00 PM, with Patrick Daniel officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends following the service in the fellowship hall.
