LETITIA ELAINE SHAFFER (Letty), 83 of Siler City NC passed away Monday June 1st, 2026, in her home. She was born to Howard and Elaine Goltzene in Springfield Ohio on March 23, 1943.

She was a member of Sapling Ridge Global Methodist Church. She worked for several years as an engineer with Under Writers Lab in Research Triangle Park and was a graduate of Wake Technical Community College.

She is survived by her husband of 65 years Michael Howard Shaffer. Three children and spouses. Dawn and Michael Moore of Hubert NC, Stephen Shaffer of Siler City, Michael Hunter Shaffer (deceased) and Oceanna Maxine Rhew Shaffer of Siler City. Four Granddaughters, Maxine Helen Shaffer of Siler City, Manda Murdock, Mystrey (Lowe) Moore, Jessica Borges, of Hubert NC; and seven Great Grandchildren and will be greatly missed by all.

A Celebration of life will be held at a later date.
