Lena Faye Gordon

Lena Faye Gordon, 79, of Devils Tramping Ground Road, Bear Creek died Monday, May 16, 2016 at her residence. Ms. Gordon was born in Surry County on September 11, 1936 the daughter of Ulyess G. and Lula Mae (Shinault) Gordon. Lena was the first woman to be hired as a fixer for Klopman Mills in Ramseur. She enjoyed cooking, gardening and canning. She was of the Baptist faith, a hard worker, caregiver and good to everyone she came in contact with. Lena was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Ray and Jimmy Gordon and a sister, Lala G. Brown. She is survived by one sister: Nancy G. Noe of Bear Creek; brothers,: Roy Gordon and wife, Nancy of Siler City, Monroe Gordon, Willie Gordon, and Roger Gordon and wife, Barbara all of Bear Creek.
