Joseph Harold Caudle, Sr., 72, of Goldston, went to be with his Savior on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

Harold was born in Chatham County on December 04, 1950, to Harold Cecil and Josie Lucille Johnson Caudle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Caudle.

Mr. Caudle was a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church. He was self-employed as a carpenter. He worked for many years as a mechanic and truck driver. Harold was an avid NASCAR fan.

Harold is survived by his sister, Helen Caudle Culberson, of Sanford; daughter, Pamela Caudle Headen and husband, Rodney; son, Joseph “Joey” Harold Caudle, Jr.; nephew, Jimmy Culberson; niece, Tammy Culberson Nifong and husband, Todd; numerous cousins; and special care giver, Ronnie Dunn. The family would like to say a special thank you to Amedisys Hospice in Burlington, and especially nurse Suzanne also a special thank you to Sherry and Megan from Total Life Care.

Mr. Caudle will lie in repose Friday June 02, 2023 from 8:30 am to 2:00 pm at Smith and  Buckner Funeral Home.   A graveside service will be held on Friday, June 2, 2023 at 3:00 pm, at Loves Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Bob Wachs officiating. The family would love for friends and family to go by the funeral home and sign the registry book, the book will be out from Tuesday, May, 30 until the time of the funeral.
