John David Kinton, 74, of 2253 Flint Ridge Road, Siler City died Friday, November 4, 2011 at Moses H. Cone Memorial Hospital, Greensboro. Mr. Kinton was born August 15, 1937, the son of Little John and Janie (Evans) Kinton.
Mr. Kinton was a native of Granville County and a retired mechanic for the D.O.T. David was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church, a past Deacon and an Army veteran.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years: Faye Moon Kinton of the home; a daughter: Patricia K. Brown of Siler City, NC; three sisters: Eloise K. Edwards of Ramseur, NC, Jackie K. Honeycutt and husband, Darrell of Randleman, NC, Rhonda K. King and husband, Wayne of Bennett, NC; grandsons, Derek and Cody Brown
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 6, 2011 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City, NC. The funeral will be Monday, November 7, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Rocky River Baptist Church, 4436 Siler City-Snow Camp Road, Siler City, NC with Rev. Greg Burriss officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
