Jimmy Harold Moody

Jimmy Harold Moody, age 73, of Siler City died Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at his home.

Mr. Moody was born September 17, 1944, the son of the late Charlie Edwin and Willard Walters Moody. He was a native of Chatham County. Jimmy was a former employee of Allied Fibers in Moncure. He attended Siler City Pentecostal Holiness Church and Rives Chapel Baptist Church where he was a member and a former Deacon there. Also, he served in the Army National Guard. Jimmy was preceded in death by both of his parents; brothers: Charlie, Duffie, Tommy, Walker, and infant brother Harlan Moody.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years: Brenda Andrews Moody; daughter, Christie Moody Bright and husband Anthony of Bear Creek; and son, Kevin Dale Moody and wife Michelle of Durham; sister, Sue Ann Gunter and husband Jerald of Siler City; and brother, Bobby Moody and wife Mary Dell of Siler City; granddaughters, Natalie and Olivia Bright both of Bear Creek, several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and his special K-9 companion Zoey.

The family will receive friends Thursday, October 12, 2017 from 6 - 8 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City and other times at the home of the family. The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 PM at Siler City Pentecostal Holiness, 17475 US HWY 64 West, Siler City with Rev. Mark Richardson and Rev. Tripp Foltz officiating. Burial will follow at Rives Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery, Siler City.
