Janie Margaret Marley

Janie Trogdon Marley, 87, of Pittsboro, formerly of Siler City, died Sunday, December 11, 2016 at Wake Medical Center, Cary. Mrs. Marley was born in Chatham County on June 19, 1929 the daughter of Luva B. and Fleta (Perry) Trogdon. Janie was retired as an inspector from Sweaters USA. She enjoyed painting ceramics. Janie was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Nancy Foust; son, Westley Wayne Walker; grandson, Wayne Walker; brother, Lester "Curley" Trogdon. She is survived by one sister: Barbara T. Rachel and husband, Jesse of Siler City; and one brother: Kenny Trogdon of Chapel Hill; granddaughter, Lestley Brower of Siler City, NC; and three great grandchildren, Andrew Walker, Stefany Brower and Westley Brower. A graveside service will be Thursday, December 15, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Edward Hill Friends Meeting Cemetery, 92 Ed Leonard Road, Siler City with Pastor, Josh Conrad officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday, December 15, 2016 from after the service in the church fellowship hall. Smith & Buckner Funeral Home is assisting the family.
