Janice Moore Keck

Janice was born in Chatham County on April 29, 1943, to Aaron Ralph Moore and Emma Elizabeth Burke Moore. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Janice was married to her loving husband Womack (Mac) for 65 years and raised two wonderful daughters, Leslie and Pamela. She worked as a finance secretary for a local CPA and retired from Stanley County Health Department. Janice was a true Christian woman who loved the Lord and was a devoted minister’s wife and helper for 43 years.

Janice is survived by her husband, Womack “Mac” Keck; 2 daughters, Leslie Keck Williams (Richard) of Siler City and Pamela Keck Colvin (Doug) of Siler City; brother, Ted Moore of Bear Creek; sister-in-law Daisy Gorczyca (Cas) of Maryland. She has 5 grandchildren, Josh Williams (Kelsie) of Charlotte, Megan W. Harvey (Bray) of Siler City, Sydney T. Dorsett (Patrick) of Siler City, Austin Tucker of Siler City, Alyssa T. Pickett (Blake) of Ramseur; 8 great grandchildren, Hayden, Kinsley, Landon, Madison, Peyton, Felicity, Colson, Oaklynn. Janice is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers Curtis Moore and Ross Moore.

A visitation will be held on Friday, August 28, 2026, at Sandy Branch Baptist Church, from 10:00 - 11:00 AM. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 AM with the burial following in the church cemetery with Dr. Travis Shelton and Rev. Jason Golden officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Fellowship Baptist Church general fund.
