Janice Johnson Andrews

Janice Johnson Andrews, age 80 of Siler City, passed away on Friday, May 01, 2026 surrounded by her loving family.

Janice was born on January 08, 1946 in Chatham County, NC to James Edward and Mary Kathryn Terry Johnson. Janice was born and raised on a dairy farm in Hickory Mountain. She was in the graduating class of 1964 at Jordan Matthews High School and played basketball all four years. She received a business degree from what is now UNCG. Following her schooling, she and her husband Mike co-owned and operated Andrews Sales. Janice thoroughly enjoyed traveling with her family to the beach and Costa Rica where she loved offshore fishing. If you knew Janice, you knew her pride and joy were her grandchildren that she loved and adored. Janice loved to cook for her family and was known for her country style steak, corn pudding, and coconut pie. Janice loved her Lord and Savior and was a faithful member at First United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, Janice is preceded in death by her brother, Jimmy Johnson.

Janice is survived by her husband of 61 years, Mike Andrews, Sr.; sons, Michael Andrews, Jr. (Mary-Douglas) of Siler City, James Andrews (Molly) of Pittsboro; grandchildren, Kennedy, Michael III, Mary-Maxton, Fisher, Banks, and Tyde; and her two sisters, Sue Renn (Mike), and Kaye Snipes (Dan).

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 06, 2026, at 2:00 PM at First United Methodist Church, 1101 W. Raleigh St., Siler City, NC 27344 with Rev. Kyle Burrows officiating.
