Jacqueline "Jackie" Merritt Robinson

Jacqueline “Jackie” Merritt Robinson, 89, of Siler City, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, May 20th, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Jackie was born on April 4th, 1936, in White Lake, NC to the late Kerney and Maude Smith Merritt. She is preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Joyce Mote and her husband, Billy, and Betty Smith and her husband, Everett; and her brother, Robert Merritt.

Jackie graduated Garland High School in Sampson County and then went to Asheboro Business School where she received her associate’s degree while she worked as a clerk in the dyeing offices at Glendale Hosiery for 44 years. She was a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church where she was on the finance committee. Jackie loved to travel as often as she could. She collected dolls, tea sets, and lighthouses. She loved getting the Colonial Villages Christmas houses collections and display them every Christmas. She also loved going to the beach. Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 69 years, Dillard Robinson of Siler City; her sons, Steve Robinson, and Kenny Robinson and his wife, Ronda; her sister, Elnora “Jenny” Langley and her husband, Johnny; her brother, Kenneth Merritt and his wife, Sheila; her grandchildren, Nicholas Robinson and his wife, Kimberly, and Dustin Robinson and his wife, PJ; her great granddaughter, Isley Robinson; and her sister-in-law, Sandra Merritt.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, May 24th, 2025, at 12 pm, at Loves Creek Baptist Church in Siler City. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church and burial will follow service in the church cemetery. Services will be officiated by Reverend Kenny Black.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Loves Creek Baptist Church cemetery fund, 1745 E. 11th St., Siler City, NC 27344.
