Hugh Daniel Clark, 70, of Bear Creek died peacefully Sunday, December 16, 2018 after his battle with cancer, and is now living in his Heavenly home.

Mr. Clark was born in Chatham County on August 3, 1948 the son of Hugh and Madga (Martindale) Clark. Daniel was a member of Antioch Christian Church where he had served as a Deacon and was a member of the Adult Sunday School Class. He was an Army Veteran of the Vietnam Conflict and retired from UNC- Chapel Hill. Daniel enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time with his family. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years: Mary (Kathy) Brafford Clark; daughter: Jamie Katherine Clark of Bear Creek; son: Bryan Daniel Clark of Tacoma, WA; brother, Billy Clark of Gulf; special family, David, Ronald, Carolyn, Donna, Tammy, and Virginia.

The funeral will be Friday at 2:00 at Antioch Christian Church, 246 Antioch Christian Church Road, Bear Creek with Rev. Jimmy Talton and Rev. Clark Davis officiating. The family will receive friends Friday, December 21, 2018 after the service in the church Fellowship Hall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery with military rites by the Randolph County Honor Guard.
