Harold Thomas Hinson, Sr.

Harold Thomas Hinson, Sr., 84, of North Dogwood Avenue, Siler City died Tuesday, October 25, 2016 at Duke Regional Hospital, Durham. Mr. Hinson was born in Chatham County on August 18, 1932 the son of Lewis and Mossie (Murray) Hinson. Harold was employed as a supervisor at Siler City Mills and later was a wood worker at Boling Chair Co. He is survived by his wife of 66 years: Patsy (Wann) Hinson ;two sons: Harold T. Hinson, Jr. of Siler City, Charles L. Hinson of Roanoke, VA; grandchildren, Matthew T. Hinson and wife, Helen of Devonport, TAS, AUS, Jonathan A. Hinson and wife, Elizabeth of Kennett Square, PA, Christie H. Norris and husband, David of Pittsboro, NC, Benjamin M. Hinson and wife, Regan of LaVergne, TN; great-grandchildren, Boden Norris, Makyle and Elijah James Hinson; and one sister: Mary Mertens of Siler City. A graveside service will be held Saturday, October 29, 2016 at 11:00 AM at Oakwood Cemetery, N. Chatham Ave, Siler City with Rev. Jim Whittaker officiating.
