Gayle Marie Stinson Daniel, 73, of Siler City, went to her Heavenly home on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026, at UNC Chapel Hill hospital surrounded by family.

Gayle was born November 29th, 1952, in Siler City, to the late Benner Henry Stinson, Sr, and Evangeline Davis Stinson. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Benner Henry Stinson, Jr.

Gayle was a 1971 graduate of Chatham Central High School where she was the valedictorian and was a member of the Beta Club. She was a lifelong member of Business & Professional Women, and she was the long-term treasurer of the Republican Party of Chatham County. She attended Bonlee Elementary School where she was a majorette. She received her accounting certificate at Asheboro Business College. After graduating she worked for Siler City Mills, and Dossenbach Furniture Store. She retired from Clapp Brothers Tractor and Implement. After that she was a stay-at-home Maw Maw raising Tristin. Gayle often said she did not have a child of her own, but God sent her Tristin. In her spare time, she loved watching her soap operas and Hallmark movies. Her favorite was her time spent with her grandson. She loved all her cats.

Left to cherish her memory, is her husband of 31 years, William Earl Daniel, Jr.; her grandson, Tristin Elkins; her stepdaughter, Kelly Daniel Elkins,; her sisters, Cynthia “Cindy” Stinson White and her husband, Jeffrey of Wilmington, NC, and Angela Stinson of Sanford; her sister-in-law, Margaret S. Stinson of Goldston; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jonathan and Sherry Daniel and their son, JJ of Siler City; her nephews, Christopher Henry Stinson and his wife, Teirtre, and their children, Cayson and Torin, Victor Henry Stinson and his wife, Kendall, and their children, Evelyn and Adeline, and her niece, Amber Brittany Shafer and her husband, Mark, and their children, Abigail, Adelaide, and August; and her special friend, Pam Pike.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 3835 Bonlee Carbonton Rd, Goldston, NC 27252.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, May 6th, 2026, at Antioch Baptist Church, at 3 pm. There will be a visitation from 2-3 pm before the service at the church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the home of Jonathan and Sherry Daniel, 101 Pine Forest Dr. Siler City, NC 27344 on Tuesday, May 5th, 2026, from 4-6 pm.
