Florence Lataine Oldham

Florence Lataine Oldham, 81, of Gulf died Thursday, January 26, 2017 at UNC Hospitals, Chapel Hill. Mrs. Oldham was born in Chatham County on October 25, 1935 the daughter of Richard Henry and Lottie (Andrews) Oldham. Lataine was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie David Oldham, and a son, David Michael Oldham. She is survived by three sons: Tony Oldham and wife, Tina, Jeff Oldham and wife, Susan both of Siler and Eric Oldham and wife, Angela of Bennett, one sister: Edna Murray of Winston- Salem; two brothers: Leroy Oldham of Sanford and Gilbert Oldham of Siler City; grandchildren, Kristin and Brittany Oldham, Aaron Thomas and Luke Thomas and wife, Abbey and Krissta Hussey and husband, Tyler; great-granddaughter, Addilyn Hussey. The family will receive friends Sunday, January 29, 2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, 230 North Second Avenue, Siler City and other times at the family home. The funeral will be Monday, January 30, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Bethany Baptist Church, 503 Alton King Road, Gulf with Rev. Leslie Puryear officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
