Eric Charles Youmans, 77, of Siler City, died Thursday, October 23, 2025.
Eric was born in Washington, North Carolina on April 15, 1948, the son of Edwin Loris and Zadah Watson White Youmans. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps at the rank of Corporal during the Vietnam War, receiving the Purple Heart Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with One Bronze Star, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal with 1960 Device, Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Commendation (Gallantry Cross Medal Color with Palm), Republic of Vietnam Meritorious Unit Commendation (Civil Actions Medal, First Class Color with Palm), Presidential Unit Commendation Ribbon, and Combat Action Ribbon.
Eric is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Che’ and Lindsey Youmans of Raleigh and their children, Duncan Eric Youmans and Chloe Eliza Youmans. His surviving siblings include his sister, Noel Youmans of Tampa, FL/Washington, NC, and brother, Gus Youmans of Washington, NC. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Joan Y. Crepps, and brother, Edwin L. Youmans, Jr.
The graveside service with full military honors will take place on June 17, 2026; at 11:30 am at Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle, VA.
