Elizabeth "Lib" Ann Holder

Elizabeth “Lib” Ann Clapp Holder, 93, of Siler City, went to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025, at Ramseur Rehab & Healthcare surrounded by her family.

Lib was born September 8th, 1932, in Catawba County to the late C. A. “Bill” Clapp and Floy Irene Sigmon Clapp. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Ray Holder, and her brother, Clayton Clapp.

Lib attended Siler City High School and High Point College. She worked as an executive secretary in the manufacturing industry. She was a member of Loves Creek Baptist Church. Lib loved the beach and watching basketball. She enjoyed her church family and loved helping at the church. Her greatest love was her family and making memories with them. Left to cherish Lib’s memory is her daughter, Jane Saunders Smith and her husband, Tony; her grandchildren, Dylan Gaines and his wife, Meredith of Bennett, and Cale Scott and his wife, Amber of Siler City; her great grandchildren, Layla, Lydia, Emersen, and Tysen; her brother, Billy Clapp and his wife, Shelvy of Durham; her sister-in-law, Margaret Clapp Dutton of Anderson, SC; and many other family and friends.

There will be no service at this time.

Smith & Buckner Funeral Home will be assisting the Holder family.
