Eddie Dean Wilkie, 64, of Siler City, died Friday, January 2, 2026.

Eddie was born in Chatham County on April 16, 1961, to the late Lacy G. and Edna Martha Hill Wilkie. He was an inspector at Mountaire Farms for many years, he loved to tinker with things. His greatest joy came from spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

Eddie is survived by his wife, Carla Gaines Wilkie; sons, Shannon Wilkie of Bear Creek and Dustin Wilkie of Bonlee; stepson, Justin Childress (Brittany) of Goldston; sisters, Jeanette Morris and Mary Lemons (Barry) both of Siler City; and brother, Ricky Wilkie (Angie) of Mayodan; and five grandchildren, Elana, Oliva, and Walker Wilkie and Easton and Hunter Childress.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Providence Methodist Church, from 1:00 - 2:00 PM. The funeral service will take place at 2:00 PM with the burial following in the church cemetery with Josh Conrad officiating.
