Earl Elmore

Earl Elmore, 84, of Siler City, passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 at his home.

Mr. Elmore was born in Chatham County on December 25, 1938, the son of Millard and Lucy Waddell Elmore.

Earl was a US Army Veteran, who served proudly during the Korean Conflict. He retired after many years as a truck driver for Pilot Freight, then later worked for C&W Enterprise in Staley. Earl enjoyed gardening, and sharing what he grew with the community. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Mary Lois Wilson; brother, Jimmy Elmore; and nephew, Ricky Elmore.

He is survived by his partner, Vera Teague Harris; brother, Curtis Elmore; daughter in law, Billie Teague; nephews, Dwight Elmore, Phil Wilson, and Randy Elmore; nieces, Rhonda Langley and Sandra Siler; and good friends Tommy and Alice Hadley, and Howard Frazier.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
