David Keith McLaughlin 91, of Siler City died Friday, October 26, 2012 at Chatham Hospital, Inc., Siler City. Mr. McLaughlin was the son of William James and Mattie (Caviness) McLaughlin.
Mr. McLaughlin was a native of Chatham County. Keith was a WWII veteran of the US Coast Guard and worked for Central Carolina Farmers and for Bish Military Surplus. He was a life long member of First Baptist Church and was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years Elizabeth Ligon McLaughlin.
He is survived by daughter: ZoAnn Adams and husband, Sam of Siler City, sons: D. K. McLaughlin, Jr. and wife, Jan of Winston-Salem, Tom T. McLaughlin and wife, Cynde of Greensboro, grandchildren, Marti Canterbury and husband, Steven of Hickory, David McLaughlin III of Jamestown, Meghan McLaughlin of Greensboro and Caitlin McLaughlin of Wilmington, great-grandchildren, James and Jesse Canterbury and Cadence M. White.
The funeral will be 2:00 PM Wednesday October 31, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, 314 N. 2nd Ave., Siler City with Rev. Tony Capehart officiating. Burial will follow in the Loves Creek Baptist Cemetery, Siler City.
