Clifford A. Hinshaw

October 12, 1945 — May 10, 2023

Clifford Hinshaw, 77, of Siler City, NC passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2023.

Clifford was the son of George Hinshaw and Nannie Mae Keller. He was the brother of Helen Pike.

Clifford worked for many years at Trader’s Chevrolet in Greensboro. He also worked at Truck Service of Greensboro, Thermo King of Kernersville, and Black Tractor in Siler City. Clifford also drove buses for Holiday Tours of Greensboro for his love of seeing new places and meeting people.

Clifford met and married Brenda Pittman in Greensboro and they had a son, Brian. Clifford was later married to Frances Carter of Liberty.

In retirement Clifford enjoyed working part time at Black Tractor. Clifford and Frances spent time traveling to NC lighthouses and watching their grandchildren grow into young adults. Clifford enjoyed watching NASCAR events as well as enjoying time with friends and family on the back porch.

Clifford was preceded in death by Frances Bowman Carter Hinshaw.

He is survived by his sister, Helen Pike. His son, Brian and daughter-in-law Patty Hinshaw, and their children Maddie and Nate. Nephew, Brad Pike and niece Anna Nixon.

Services will be held at Rocky River Friends on Saturday, May 20, 2023 at 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends following the service in the meeting hall.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the Carolina Boxers Rescue; an organization Clifford felt strongly about.
