Claudia Veronica Zapata Zuniga, 52, of Siler City, passed away tragically on July 5th, 2026, at her home.

Claudia was born on July 4th, 1974, in Ciudad Victoria, Tamaulipas, Mexico, to Rodrigo Zapata Rodriquez and Victoria Zuniga Avila. She was married to Alberto Ines Charles Nunez. She was a woman of incredible strength and grace. Claudia was the heart of our family and a source of endless wisdom. Although she was small in stature, her laughter would fill the room. Her heart touched everyone she met. Her life was beautiful with all four of her children who got to celebrate her last birthday. We find comfort in knowing that she is now at peace and happy with her son, Alberto Aldair Charles Zapata. Surviving family members include her husband, Alberto Ines Charles Nunez; her daughter, Victoria Yared Charles Zapata, 26; and her sons, Andre Charles Zapata, 22; and Thiago Charles Zapata, 10.

A Celebration of Life service will be held July 24th, 2026, at Casa De Dios A Las Naciones in Staley, NC, at 10 am. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Park at 2 pm. Times are subject to change and will be updated if they do change.
