IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Clarence Thomas
Brewer
May 21, 1943 – March 18, 2026
Funeral Service
Clarence Thomas Brewer, 82, of Siler City, went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, March 18th, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones.
Clarence was born on May 21st, 1943, in Chatham County, to Clyde S. and Effie Hicks Brewer. He is preceded in death by his parents; and his sisters, Shirley Jean Brewer and Ollie Mae B. Lineberry.
Left to cherish Clarence’s memory is his wife, Carolyn Smith Brewer who spent nearly 50 years providing love and care after his disabling car wreck ; his daughters, Lynette Brewer and Angela Brewer (Mark Stout), who know they had the best daddy in the world; his grandsons, Austin Brewer, Dylan Stout, and Bryson Stout, who loved their Papa. Also surviving are his brothers, John Brewer and James S. Brewer (Brenda); his sisters, Bea B. Smith (Doug), and Phyllis B. Cook (Rocky), who knew him as Big Brother and C.T.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Besides his family, his joys were Carolina Basketball and the New York Yankees. Between basketball and baseball, there were not many days in a year that there was not a game on TV (or playing on the radio when his team was losing because he couldn’t stand to watch).
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 22nd, 2026, at 3 pm, at Loves Creek Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends after the service in the Fellowship Hall at the church. Services will be officiated by Pastor Jody Maness.
The family would like to thank Liberty Homecare for the years of care they provided. In lieu of flowers, the family would like donations to go to Liberty Homecare, 401 E. 3rd St. Siler City, NC 27344.
Smith & Buckner Funeral Home will be assisting the Brewer family.
