Charles "Tom" Thomas Brown

Charles Thomas “Tom” Brown, 77, of Siler City, went to his Heavenly home on Wednesday, August 27th, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Tom was born on August 29th, 1947, in Guilford County, to the late Charles and Julia Brown. He is preceded in death by his parents.

Tom was a Sargent serving in the Air Force during the Vietnam Conflict. After his service, he held different positions. He was a safety manager at Showel Farms which is now Mountainaire. He worked at Radio Shack; he was the former owner of Brown Trucking and retired from working in the photo lab at Walmart. Tom was a member of Moon’s Chapel Baptist Church where he attended the senior adult Sunday school class and was a Sunday school teacher for the youth at the church. Tom was a historian; he loved reading and working on a book of his ancestors. He loved collecting coins and pens, and mostly enjoyed spending time with his wife and family.

Left to cherish Tom’s memory are his wife of 28 years, Cynthia “Cindy” S. Williams Brown; his sons, Michael Brown and his wife, Alison, and Ashley Brown and his wife, Leslie both of Greensboro; his stepdaughter, Sherry Williams Frazier of Siler City; his stepson, David Williams of West Monroe, LA; his grandchildren, Griffin Brown, Carson and Nolan Brown, Hannah Case, Tristan Williams, Kersten King, Kaleb Williams, Sydney King, Hope & Faith Williams, London Frazier, and Alex Williams; and six great grandchildren.

Funeral services with military honors will be held Saturday, August 30th, 2025, at 3 pm, at Moon’s Chapel Baptist Church, 175 Moon’s Chapel Road, Siler City, NC 27344. Visitation will be held at the church from 2-3 pm. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Dr. Patrick Fuller will be officiating the services.
