Carol Bryne Gmitro Hall

Carol Byrne Gmitro Hall, 82, of Siler City, passed away on Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, at home surrounded by family.

Carol was born in Minneapolis, MN to the late John and Margaret Gmitro. She is preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Gmitro.

Carol worked as a journalist for the Star-Tribune in Minneapolis, Minesota and then for the Raleigh News & Observer when she moved here.

She is survived by her husband of 34 years, Duane Hall; her son, Gregory Pearson and his wife, Jena from Washington, DC; her stepson, Duane Hall, II and his wife, Katie of Raleigh, NC; and her one step grandchild, Theodore Hall.

There will be no services at this time for Carol.
