Bobby G. Johnson

Bobby G. Johnson, of Siler City, went to his heavenly home on Friday, February 4, 2022 surrounded by his loved ones at his home.

Mr. Johnson was born in Chatham County on May 9, 1929, the son of William and Stella Harris Johnson.

Bobby was a member of Joy Baptist Church, where he served on several committees, sang in the Church Choir, and was a former Sunday School Director. He loved the Lord and his church family. Bobby enjoyed working, and retired after many years as the Principal for Bonlee School. He loved cleaning up the land, and working with his cattle on the farm. In addition to his parents, Bobby is preceded in death by his brother, Jack Johnson; and sisters; Rachel and Christine Johnson.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Margie W. Johnson; sons, Eric Johnson and wife DeAnn of Hickory, and Brad Johnson and wife Emily of Julian; and grandchildren, Samuel and wife Natalie, William, Matthew, Caroline, Ben and wife Makayla, and Dan and wife Megan.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, February 8, 2022 at Joy Baptist Church, 61 Bowers Store Road, Siler City with Rev. Steve Clark. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Joy Baptist Church, or to the Hospice of your choice.
