Anthony "Tony" Craig Stout

Anthony "Tony" Craig Stout Anthony "Tony" Craig Stout, 71, passed away at the Alamance County Hospice and Palliative Care Center on Thursday, January 19, 2017. Tony was born February 28, 1945 in Alamance County. He lived in Chatham County and was the son of the late Ramon Reese Stout, Sr. and Frances Anthony Stout. Tony is survived by his daughter Dana Hardy and husband Terry of the home; his brother Ronnie Stout of Whitsett; his step-granddaughter Crystal Hardy Ellis and two step-great-grandchildren. Tony was preceded in death by his lifelong companion Delores Braxton; his sister Peggy Johnson; and brother Ray Stout. He was employed by his family's business, Stout Trucking and also worked at his chicken farm business in Chatham County. A celebration of his life will be held Monday, January 23 at 11:00 AM at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home in Siler City with Rev. Warren Owens and Rev. Andy Clapp officiating. The burial will follow at South Fork Friends Church in Snow Camp. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Sunday, January 22 at the funeral home. The family would like to thank the staff of the Alamance County Hospice and Palliative Care Center for their care that was given to Tony over the last week.
