Ann Tripp Bouldin

d. December 1, 2011

On December 1, 2011, Ann Tripp Bouldin went Home to be with her Lord and Savior. She dedicated her life to the Lord's service as she served along side her husband, Rev. J. R. Bouldin. A constant encourager, she was a faithful wife, loving mother, proud grandmother, sensitive sister and caring friend who lived a lifestyle of missions. She served the Baptist State Convention of NC as a Specialized Preschool Consultant leading conferences at Ridgecrest, Caswell, various associations and churches. Known affectionately as "Miss Ann" she organized and restructured preschool departments in the churches in which they served (59-1/2 years); therefore, affecting the lives of precious preschoolers in Sunday School, Training Union, VBS and WMU. Ann was born February 4, 1933, on the Orange-Durham County lines to the late Roy B. and LaRue Cole Tripp. She graduated from Pittsboro High School and attended Wake Forest College. On August 24, 1952, Ann married John Robert Bouldin who survives. She and Robert (The Preacher as she so often called him) made their home across the state as he served full-time at nine churches and then ten interims upon their retirement. Her love for her Lord and her strong belief in stewardship led her to establish a scholarship at Campbell Divinity School so that young people called into the ministry would have a better financial opportunity to advance their education. This scholarship was established and named in memory of her mother. "Miss Ann" leaves a heritage as she is survived by daughters, Beverly B. (Wesley) Butler of Oak City; Teresa B. (Jerry) Lindley of Bear Creek; son, John R. Bouldin, Jr. (Tonya) of Rocky Mount; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Also surviving are brothers, K. B. (Minnie) Tripp of Chapel Hill and Auburn (Jean) Tripp of Pittsboro and many nieces and nephews. Family will receive friends and family at Smith & Buckner Funeral Home, Siler City, from 5:00- 7:00 on Saturday, December 3, 2011. The funeral service will be held at First Baptist of Siler City on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Brush Creek Baptist Cemetery on Airport Road, Bear Creek. The service will be officiated by Rev. Tony Capehart and Rev. Gordon West.
