Alberto Aldair Charles Zapata, 19, of Siler City, passed away tragically at his home on July 5th, 2026.

Alberto was born on January 24th, 2007, at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill, NC, to Alberto Ines Charles Nunez and Claudia Veronica Zapata Zuniga (2026). Surviving family members include Victoria Yared Charles Zapata, 26; Andre Charles Zapata, 22; and Thiago Charles Zapata, 10.

Alberto was in school working on getting his welding certificate and was looking forward to working in that field. Alberto had a big heart and was very sweet and loving to people.

A Celebration of Life service will be held July 24th, 2026, at Casa De Dios A Las Naciones in Staley, NC, at 10 am. Burial will follow at Chatham Memorial Park at 2 pm. Times are subject to change and will be updated if they do change.
